Windows cannot be installed to this disk. If you click on this error, it will be clearly stated that Windows 7 cannot be installed on USB support. Windows can't be installed on drive 1 partition 1. If you try to install Windows 7 on an external hard drive or on an USB key plugged into an USB 2.0 port, the Windows 7 installation wizard will display this error : Booting Windows 7 from an USB 3.0 port is not supportedġ.Install Windows 7 on USB support with WinToUSB.Cannot install Windows 7 on USB support.
However, you can still do this using a specific program. If you try to install Windows 7 on an external hard drive or USB key, you will quickly see that this is not officially possible.
